Sports first, then the science of how people move.
Dr. Zachary Mucha was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. From a young age he developed a strong passion for sports and competition, which fueled his interest in movement, performance, and injury prevention. That interest is what led him to a career focused on optimizing everyday movement.
He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Texas at El Paso. Once he graduated, he moved to Dallas to begin his physical therapy career. While employed in an outpatient physical therapy facility he pursued further education focused on manual therapy techniques, and he plans to keep adding techniques that help his patients recover quicker.
He treats any kind of musculoskeletal condition, and he enjoys bringing multiple treatment methods together to reduce pain rather than leaning on any single one.
Shoulders under load, and every segment of the spine.
He enjoys treating shoulder pain, especially in people who only feel it during higher-level activity like lifting and loading, and any kind of pain in the spine from the neck to the lower back.
The principles he practices by.
His favorite quote, from Marcus Aurelius: "Waste no more time arguing about what a good man should be. Be one."
Compassion and Care
"I will treat each patient as an individual and give them the empathy and expertise they deserve."
Integrity
"I will also do what is right for the patient and stay true to my guiding principles."
Passion for Growth
"I have a personal commitment to continue learning and improving, both personally and professionally."
Recovery, and then the level above it.
